This 10-15 minute survey will shape Canonical’s work on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS and beyond. Tell us what’s important for you! We care equally about personal, community, research and commercial projects. Whether you are an enterprise IT director, or a scientist, or a hobbyist, we want to honour the contributions of thousands of developers to all the open-source in the world by making it easier and more secure for you to build upon.
18.04 LTS improved significantly based on the prior survey. The Ubuntu Minimal images for Docker and the public clouds, MicroK8s, and our stripped-down corporate desktop install were the top outcomes. We are focused on boot speed, machine learning performance, IoT operations, security, and cloud-specific optimisations, and we’re excited to see what you prioritise today.
In particular, we are interested in any unexpected trends or new areas of R&D that don’t already fit into established hot button topics. Yes, we have lots of feedback on containers, IoT, AI, desktop, performance, security and cloud. What do you think we are missing?
Submissions will close on the 10th of January. Please share this survey – the more data, the more stories, the better!
Thank you!
