Details

The policykit-desktop-privileges Startup Disk Creator policy allowed
administrative users to overwrite disks. As a security improvement, this
operation now requires authentication.

Update instructions

The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following package versions:

Ubuntu 19.04

• policykit-desktop-privileges - 0.20ubuntu19.04.1

Ubuntu 18.10

• policykit-desktop-privileges - 0.20ubuntu18.10.1

Ubuntu 18.04

• policykit-desktop-privileges - 0.20ubuntu18.04.1

Ubuntu 16.04

• policykit-desktop-privileges - 0.20ubuntu16.04.1

In general, a standard system update will make all the necessary changes.
